SchoolCare welcomes the following groups to the Coalition: Town of Northfield, SAU 56 - Rollinsford and Somersworth School Districts, Lincoln Woodstock School District, Concord School District, and Laconia School District. We are delighted to bring high quality health benefits, as well as our unique and innovative wellness plans to these groups!

SchoolCare also is pleased to announce that starting July 1, 2010, we will be offering group dental coverage. The six plans are provided through our partners at CIGNA, and feature all the coverage you currently have. Please visit our Dental Plan page for details.

Health Care Reform: SchoolCare staff have been busy reviewing recent Health Care Reform legislation to ensure compliance and take advantage of any possible savings. Since SchoolCare already has had many of the reform provisions in place for many years, the impacts to the plan are few. The provisions of the law take effect over the course of the next few years. Many do not take effect until the new plan year following September 23, 2010, which for SchoolCare is July 1, 2011. Then, other provisions roll out in 2014 and 2018. However, we will certainly be reviewing all measures to ensure SchoolCare meets the requirements of the new laws. You can learn more about the law here: http://www.healthreform.gov/

Good For You! wellness programs. Participation in SchoolCare’s innovative wellness Good For You! programs has grown dramatically over the past 6 months! Please be sure to visit the Health and Wellness page to learn all about these programs!

Below are tips to make your life easier using the Good For You! /PATH website

• Edit an entry by clicking on the pencil symbol, or click Edit
• Delete an entry by clicking on the red X circle, or click Delete
• Points are awarded once you complete a program and will show in your total then. They do not accrue with workouts.
• Points are paid periodically in the year.
• Instructions are available by clicking on the HELP button.
• You can make changes to your name, password or email in your Profile.
• Edit your privacy settings in your Preferences
• The Health Education module will always display the status of your reimbursement for a class.

An Important Reminder

If you have a “Qualifying Event,” such as marriage/divorce, a civil union/dissolution of a civil union (in accordance with NH law), birth and/or death, adoption of a child, addition of step-children, assuming permanent legal custody of a child, reinstatement of civilian status from active military duty, or when a member ceases to be a dependent, you must notify your town or school district’s business office within 30 days of the Qualifying Event to make the necessary change in your enrollment status.  Otherwise, you will need to wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period.  This will delay any changes in membership status, and coverage will not be effective until the following July 1.
