It is a personal decision if you would like to have any early in the year expenses re-processed or reimbursed to apply those costs to your Choice Fund, or HRA. If you wish, you can simply pay it out of pocket and leave it at that, or you can take the necessary steps to get those costs covered once your HRA is active. Once the HRA is loaded, it will begin to pay for out-of-pocket expenses and the amount you paid initially will be counted toward your total out-of-pocket expenses.
