It’s Time to Take Your Health Assessment for the 2022-23 Plan Year

With the start of a new plan year on July 1, 2022, it’s important to take the Cigna Health Assessment again for a few reasons. As a reminder, the Cigna Health Assessment is a confidential, online health survey that takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. This assessment provides the opportunity to get a better understanding of your own health and it’s also a requirement to participate in some SchoolCare benefits.

 

Activate Your Choice Fund/Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

For all subscribers who are enrolled in SchoolCare’s Yellow Plan with Choice Fund – completing the health assessment releases your choice fund or HRA dollars into your account. For subscribers on a single plan this is the first $1,000 toward your deductible and for those on a two-person or family plan, it is the first $2,000.

  • All current subscribers must complete the health assessment between June 1 and July 31 to release the funds.
  • For any new hires who elect the Yellow Plan with Choice Fund, there is a 60-day window to complete the health assessment that begins on the day your benefits start.
  • It will take 1-3 business days for your assessment to show as completed in your myCigna account.

*If you would like your fund activated on July 1 with the start of the plan year, please complete your health assessment no later than June 27.

As always, don’t forget to review your claims in myCigna.com throughout the year to track your out-of-pocket costs. As we transition into a new plan year, the timing of processed claims may affect how your HRA funds are used.

Earn Cash Incentives from the Good For You! Well-Being Program

The health assessment also unlocks the incentives in the Good For You! Well-Being Program. SchoolCare subscribers, spouses and SchoolCare65+ retirees are all eligible to receive cash incentives for completing wellness-based incentives as part of the program, however everyone who wishes to receive the cash incentives must complete the health assessment.

  • Subscribers can earn up to $800 per plan year
  • Covered spouses and 65+ retirees can earn up to $400 per plan year

Learn More About Your Own Health

Upon completion of the health assessment, you will receive a personal wellness score that shows areas of strength and recommendations for ways to improve on various aspects of your health. You can use the information to help set health and wellness goals and to have a conversation with your doctor at your annual check-up about potential health risks and how to approach them.

Complete Your Confidential Health Assessment

Follow these steps easy steps:

  1. Create and/or log into your account at myCigna.com
  2. Under the Wellness dropdown click “My Health Assessment”
  3. Follow the prompts to take the assessment (if you don’t know your biometric info, just say “not sure”)
  4. Save the confirmation number for your records (you can email it to yourself for safe keeping)
