Put preventive care first

Published July 8, 2020

If you want to take care of you this season, we recommend considering your preventive care options. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) prevention efforts can eliminate about 30-50% of illnesses. In addition, 80% of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes, along with 40% of cancers are preventable.

The Benefits

The goal of preventive care is to help you maintain good health throughout your lifetime. Even if you live a healthy lifestyle, preventive services and screenings should remain a vocal point to your self-care routine. Seeing your doctor for annual checkups is imperative along with eating healthy, staying active and giving up unhealthy habits.

NOTE: You can also earn $75 (up to $225 per plan year) for some physician recommended preventive services with your Good For You! Wellness programs. Learn more.
